Tag-free Protein Production Service
A truly tag-free protein is essential for many R&D applications. Conventional recombinant protein production typically uses affinity tags – such as His or GST – for expression and purification. However, these tags can be difficult to fully remove, and may interfere with downstream experiments. Unlike traditional tag removal methods, Biomatik’s tag-free protein production starts with tag-free expression, and uses SEC and ion exchange purification. This ensures native protein folding and delivers proteins with no residual affinity tag, all at highly affordable prices.
Endotoxin Removal Service
Endotoxins – primarily lipopolysaccharides (LPS) from Gram-negative bacteria like E. coli – can trigger strong immune responses and compromise downstream applications. Reducing endotoxin levels is therefore essential for experiments involving in vivo models or cell-based assays. Biomatik offers endotoxin removal as an optional service, achieving levels below 1 EU/µg or 0.1 EU/µg as part of our custom protein production workflow.
